wild mushroom recipe

My husband hates mushroom. So I hardly have the chance to cook mushroom at home. However, this recipe is so simple and yummy, I couldn’t resist making it just for myself!

This recipe yields 4 main servings.

Ingredients:
2 tablespoon olive oil
½ stick of butter
½ cup of freshly grated parmesan cheese
1 cup of heavy cream
¼ cup of sliced wild mushroom (can substitute with shiitake or portabello)
A pinch of powdered cinnamon to taste (optional)
1 tablespoon chopped parsley (optional)
400g pasta
Instructions
Cook pasta in salted boiling water for 10 minutes. (I use penne but fettucine is good with alfredo sauce too).

  1. Once the pasta is ready, we can start making the sauce because it takes less than 5 minute to be ready. Over medium heat, sauté garlic in olive oil until fragrant. Add mushroom and continue until mushrooms are tender. Add butter and heavy cream, and bring it to a small simmer. Stir in parmesan cheese. Add a pinch of cinnamon, salt and pepper to taste.
Now that the sauce is ready, toss pasta and chopped parsley into the sauce until well coated. Plate it up and add a little more parmesan cheese.

Enjoy!
