I was at Baby Market last week and decided to drop by Mummamia Confinement‘s booth to say hello to a lady named Willis, who I’ve been corresponding via email. You see, they sponsored me during my confinement after having baby Georgia. I wanted to say thanks and meet this wonderful lady in person. You can read the reviews here and here.
As I was approaching the booth from a far, I could only see a young looking girl and a man manning the booth. Oh well, I would ask for Willis anyway. Maybe she is out.
Turned out, the girl is Willis. And she is also the founder of Mummamia! Maybe I’m a knob, but Willis never once mentioned she is THE BOSS of the business. Unassuming and friendly, I’m inspired by a woman like her and would like to share her story here:
Willis’ grandmother was a confinement nanny back in the days. Post birth, Willis enjoyed confinement with assistance from her grandmother. She is touched by the heart-warming care of her grandmother. She had recuperated well and benefited much from having a confinement in the TCM way. She wants to share her experience with other mothers.
She later found out that many new mothers may not have the luxury to engage a nanny due to rising costs, especially during festive season. Hence, she initiated Mummamia Confinement with series of ready and easy-to-use confinement products with the support from her family.

We do not have elders living with us who has any experience in confinement. Therefore, there are alot of things for us to learn along the way.
