Georgia Is Two!

KIDS, MOTHERHOOD | 13 comments

I’m going to start the post with the battered cliché of all time – I can’t believe my baby has grown up so fast! Because really, turning two is kind of a big deal…. until they turn three, of course.

This one also starts talking pretty early. Her first full sentence at 15 months old was, “Mommy, where are you?”, as soon as I entered the bathroom, every single time.

Her favourite thing to say at the moment, is “Mommy, mommy, mommy” is a sing-song kinda way. Or at least I like to think that’s her favourite before “I DON’T WANT!”. I mean how can a toddler be so assertive? Don’t you want to reconsider sometimes? A no is a no with this one. Nothing could change her mind. I used to think Lauren was strong-willed, until this one comes along and really tests my patience.

Don’t be fooled by the skinny frame. Georgia is a bit of a milk monster at the moment. She can finish an entire 240ml bottle of milk in two minutes and ask for second at nap and sleep time. The fastest teat flow is apparently too slow for her. She bites every single one off, so the flow would be faster. I’m going broke replacing new teats on those bottles every three days. So anyone with suggestions of where I can find a 480ml milk bottle so I don’t have a screaming kid asking for more milk, and how to get a super fast flow teat/opening for bottle, please let me know!

Btw, I just realised I’m asking for milk bottle of almost half a litre capacity, but hey, you’d never know until you ask!

Lauren is always happy to play police and tell her, “No, Georgia!!” and quickly dob on her, so she could go on and clinch the good daughter title in our household.

Georgia on the other hand absolutely loves Lauren, albeit too much. Because everything jie jie is holding, she wants to hold it too. That’s her definition of sharing. “Share jie jie. Share with Do-jia!”

She still couldn’t get her ‘peace’ sign right.

Much like Lauren, this one also obsessed with screentime. She doesn’t just sit quietly and enjoy Elmo’s dancing, though. She has to ‘fly’ while she’s at it.

Happy birthday Georgia. Thank you for lighting up our days with your silly expressions and whispers of funny one-liners!
