Embracing the outdoors with Moist Diane Botanical!

Living in Singapore and a tiny apartment, my kids love going outdoors. As for myself, to be honest, not so much. I prefer staying indoor because I’m a creature of comfort and I’m not fond of getting all sweaty. It’s unavoidable because of the hot, hot weather in Singapore. But lately, I don’t mind it too much. I actually look forward to the weekends to spend time with the kids. I’ll tell you why later.

So let’s jump in and let me share the top 3 outdoor spots that are free and awesome for family bonding, according to my kids:

1. Gardens by the Bay

We never get tired of going to Gardens by the Bay. Ok fine, it’s not free – entry into Flower Dome and Cloud Forest costs between $12 and $28 for adults and for a child, it’s $8 to $15.

But if you don’t mind Singapore’s humidity, the outdoor gardens are just as beautiful and absolutely free. It’s the perfect place for a post-lunch/pre-dinner stroll while looking at beautiful flowers and plant displays.

While you’re there, let’s not forget the Children’s Garden. Entry is free, so do pack swimmers along if your kids like to have some water fun!

Strollers aren’t necessary but if the little ones get tired, there are strollers for hire at the Visitors Centre. Only $2!

2. East Coast Park

East Coast Park is big but we really only do two things there – playing at the massive Marina Cove children’s playground or build (or at least try to build) sand castles on the beach. Nothing says bonding like working hand-in-hand together to achieve a common goal, and in our case, pail by pail to build those sand castles. We fail often. Our “sand castles” always ended up looking like mountains so we would pivot and build volcanos instead. Either way, East Coast Park is always a fun place to head to on the weekends.

3. Palawan Pirate Ship

family binding places in Singapore

Used to be known as Port of Lost Wonder, small waterpark located at Palawan Beach Sentosa is now free for everyone! Just bring a change of clothes and lots of sunscreens, we can spend hours here. My kids pointing the water guns at each other and going down the water slides. For kids who love thrills, they can wait for the giant bucket to fill up and pour onto them with a powerful flush.

Rewarding ourselves after a long day with Moist Diane Botanical [Hair & Bodycare Review]

Why do I look forward to spending time outdoors nowadays? It’s because I can then reward myself with an indulgent shower and hair wash experience with Moist Diane latest addition to the link – the Botanical Refresh and Smooth (Sicilian Fruits) range. It protects my hair and skin in the sun!

Taking on the outdoors with sun-protection properties from the Refresh & Smooth range

Japan’s No.1 silicone-free haircare brand, Moist Diane has added a body wash to Moist Diane Botanical series. Made with more than 90% natural plant-based ingredients, I love that the Botanical Refresh and Smooth shampoo, conditioner and body wash can be used by everyone in my family. Yes, it’s gentle enough even for my daughter, Georgia who is eczema-prone and Will who’s only two and a half years old. The formula is baby-safe too.

What makes the new Refresh & Smooth range stand apart from the rest is how it caters to people like us who live in the tropics and is prone to sun-exposure. It has the ability to repair dry, sun-damaged hair caused by prolonged UV exposure.

A little goes a long way with the Botanical Refresh and Smooth shampoo and body wash. Containing Moroccan Argan Oil and Toscana Olive Oil as key cleansing ingredients, the texture of both products is light yet lathers up into a rich foam for a satisfying hair wash and shower. It really is soothing and moisturising for my skin and my hair feels light and smooth after every wash.

The smell is absolutely AH-MA-ZING. I’m not great at describing smells but in a nutshell, I love the fruity, floral notes of the range. My kids clearly love it as much as I do.
