Our Visit To Go Go Bambini Indoor Playground + Giveaway of Entry Tickets
We visited the newly refurbished Go Go Bambini on Dempsey hill recently. I haven’t been to the old one, so you won’t find any comments on how much it has improved in this blog post. Anyway, out with the old, in with the new, I’d say. Moving on….
As soon as we checked in, deposited our shoes and socks on, I found the perfect place for the adults to hang out while the kids scaled the big play structure – a nice, spacious cafe with free Wi-Fi. I’m liking this place already.
I dragged way-too-old-for-this-place niece and nephew to Go Go Bambini. They are 9 and 11 years old. Not exactly bambini’s age but I figured they can help me supervise my kids while I sit. I’m after all 5 months pregnant. So here they are.. supervising.
Here’s Lauren getting too big for the slide at the toddler’s area and an almost hysterical mummy going all, “When did my baby girl become so big?” and wishing she is small again…
… until my little one climbs up and reminded me to calm down. I still have many years ahead of me before I can join those moms whose kids are bigger and have rights to ‘those years-gone-by-too-quickly’ thoughts.
I learnt something about baby sitting from Rohan on the day – might as well make yourself comfy while you’re at it. The monkey sea-saw looks mightily comfortable. I was a little jealous I didn’t think of it first.
The kids has a duty to cover every single corner and nook of the play structure, while mamarazzi trailed not so far behind. If you start to worry about a 5 months pregnant woman climbing up and down the play area, don’t. Happy to report that every surface is either soft padded or netted.
I was actually enjoying myself climbing through these obstacles and what seems like a maze of endless fun….
….. until it was either going down the slide or going back the way we got there, which would take another 5 minutes through those obstacles which I claimed to enjoy just moments ago. So I sat there at the top of the slide for what seems like eternity while my kids rolled on the floor laughing at me, literally.
All was well in the end. Laziness triumphed over the fear of slide. I came down the slide unharmed.
The kids went off again for a second time, of course. And again, and again, and again until I lost count. Unsurprisingly, Rohan took monkeying to another level.
There’s a more challenging slide at the other end of the play structure. Lauren refused to go in. Like mother, like daughter, I supposed.
It gets thumbs up from the older kids, though.
This photo reminds me that perhaps it’s time to buy some new clothes for Lauren.
Another toddler’s play area or the bigger kids’ rest area – take your pick. Technically older kids aren’t allowed in there but it was quiet that morning and I don’t see that other kid’s complaining.
The smile of an easily contented mum who found a seat to park her butts for 5 minutes.
My kids seem to have an inbuilt sensor that sets off whenever I get too comfy. I think it’s their grand plan to keep me on my toes at all times.
One of them pooped and off we went to the clean and cheery nappy change and nursing room at Go Go Bambini.
Have I mentioned that Go Go Bambini is now under the new management team who owns Pink Tower Montessori in Katong? They have recently took over Go Go Bambini, completely rehauled and refurbished the indoor playground and opened a new branch of Pink Tower Montessori, right at the same premise.
I saw this ‘Party Room 2′ sign on the door that leads to the montessori, so I figure you can rent the space for your kids’ party on weekends and on public holidays.
Otherwise, here’s another room you can use too. There are weekly fitness and story-telling classes held in this room on Mondays and Wednesdays at 4pm too. Go here for more details.
Another area that has gone a major overhaul is the cafe area. Unlike other cafes located within an indoor playground, this one serves freshly squeezed juices, smoothies, coffee from a real espresso machine and wholesome food items.
The bright and spacious area complete with free Wi-Fi is a dream come true for parents who work on-the-go, like yours truly.
Getting my dose of Vitamin C and minerals from the freshly squeezed juice. By the way, do you know that we are supposed to eat or drink fruits before our meals and not after? Something I read from a spam email my mother-in-law sent to me, but the argument for it seemed logical. I can’t remember exactly why but thought I put it out there, so I sound smarter.
We ordered this lot plus another pasta dish to share between 3 adults and 4 kids. The servings are substantial and everyone was fully fed.
Do note that it took a whiiiiile for our food to arrive (on a quiet day), so do order in advance. If you want to eat at 12pm, order at 11:30am. And gather the children after the food have arrived. Restless kids with no food on the table feels like eternity.
Best dish of the day goes to Spaghetti Carbonara ($16.90) which was made the original way. You know, by combining raw eggs and parmesan and toss in the hot pasta. I hate carbonara cooked in cream. Food snob? Never.
This one has just the right flavour which hits the spot.
I didn’t taste the GGB Signature Burger ($16.90) but according to the 2 older kids who shared it – it’s delicious!
We also had the boring old Hawaiian pizza ($18.90) but hey, you go with what you know would be a hit amongst kids, right? This one was wiped out within minutes too.
The satisfied customers in our group who are reluctant to have their photos taken, mostly!
They missed out my order of Prawn and Crab Pasta ($18.90) and so it came after everyone has finished their meal. I don’t know whether it is because I was already full from nibbling the kids’ food, but the dish was rather disappointing. It wasn’t what I was expecting and while the broth was flavourful, the dish just didn’t do it for me. I was struggling to finish it.
After the kids have refuelled, they went back to the playground to burn off the calories.We finally managed to drag them out of there with bribes of ice-cream – also available at the cafe!

We’ve been there a couple of times. The best deal I had was sipping coffee by the cafe and watch the kids play. Their nursing room looks awesome!
I was there once for a meeting but haven’t brought my kids. Love that the place has free parking and a cafe. One day I’ll be back with my girls.

I did.. hahaha! It was a quiet day and as I mentioned in the post, everything was well padded and rather comfy to crawl around 🙂

Nice play area. My kids are too big for this but sure good to learn about more indoor play zones.
